Arm AttachmentsOur luminaire arms are made from 2″ schedule 40 pipe (2-3/8″ OD) with a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi.
The mating components for the mounting of the arm to the pole are cast steel. The piece welded to the arm meets with the piece welded to the pole in a way that allows the arm to stay in place by gravity while being secured with two (2) high-strength hex head bolts.
Twin luminaire arm applications are always oriented at 180 degrees with respect to one another, unless otherwise noted.
The pole and arm simplex plates for the 3-bolt simplexes are fabricated from structural-quality, hot-rolled carbon steel conforming with ASTM A36 material. Three (3) 5/8″ – 11 UNC high-strength structural hex head bolts are used to connect the arm to the pole.
